BWEEMS
Meet BWEEMS, a non-profit located in Florida dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of Black women in ecology, evolution, and marine science. BWEEMS incubated during the pandemic and quickly grew into a creditable organization that filled a gap for women in science.
Brand Refresh
The Essentials
After outgrowing their starter logo and gaining funding, BWEENS needed an overhaul that highlighted the voice, communication, and educational characteristics of the non-profit while staying true to its original roots. I completed a refresh of their logo, created a brighter color palette, then produced an icon set that reflected each sector of the organization. Now when there's an event for one subject, it has a color, icon, and layout to help highlight it without separating it entirely from the brand. The gradient blobs can be stretched and placed anywhere on their assets.
